Stuart Pimsler is a dynamic writer, director, choreographer, and performer, and the founder of Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater (SPDT). Alongside artistic co-director Suzanne Costello, he has earned international acclaim for over thirty years of pioneering work at the intersection of arts and health. Stuart has created more than fifty original performance pieces, authored the children’s play My Grandmother’s Tsotchkes, and recently transformed the short story MATINEE into a groundbreaking interdisciplinary stage work. His distinguished career includes fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, McKnight Foundation, and Ohio Arts Council, as well as commissions worldwide. He lives in Minneapolis with his family.
